In September 2023, we conducted our first ever guided walk of the Garden Festival site as part of Glasgow’s Doors Open Days Festival.

The walk traversed the whole Garden Festival site from East to West, pointing out locations, revealing hidden remnants and explaining the layout and form to the extent that it can be seen today. We also provided an on-the-spot update of what archaeology has told us about the survival of the Garden Festival

On the 28 April 2025 (the 37th anniversary of the opening day of the Garden Festival) we launched our walking trail leaflet. The leaflet is available online here or in physical form from a wide variety of venues around Glasgow. Simultaneously, we unveiled two interpretation boards in Festival Park, the only part of the Garden Festival site whose Landscaping was retained. These boards were kindly supported by funding from Glasgow City Heritage Trust and Glasgow Riverside Innovation District.
