Thanks for getting in touch, Allan! I’m afraid, however, that as far as we can tell, it seems unlikely that the National Galleries’ ‘Tim’s Boot’ is the same one that was exhibited at the Garden Festival. Paolozzi produced at least three, in plaster and bronze, and it seems that their one doesn’t have a snail on it; the GGF one did. There’s also some evidence that it may have been stolen from the GGF (and possibly returned; there is some work to be done on the case).
