Notes | This huge piece stood at the entrance to the Foresty Commission's 'Magical Forest' exhibit. It was created at Forestry England's Grizedale Sculpture Park, shipped to the Garden Festival, then returned to Grizedale, where it greeted visitors at the Car Park until 1995. At this point, it was moved up to overlooking Carron Crag and a replacement ('Ancient Forester 2') created by the same sculptor. The original and much deteriorated sculpture finally vanished some time after 2011. (Source here.) |
