Originally built 1914. Originally restored for loan to Stoke-on-Trent Garden Festival 1986, reassembled for Glasgow Garden Festival. Carol Foreman (re history and neglect) article at https://rutherglenheritage.wixsite.com/website-46/overtoun-park-bandstand. Dr David Mitchell advises that the bandstand is model 296 from the Walter Macfarlane & Co catalogue, and the sole example known.
