A 600mm narrow-gauge trackway around the Festival site - the route looped around the Marina, over the British Steel Harbour Bridge and featured three stations: Pavilion Station, Jubilee Station and Empire Station.

According to the Daily Express (Aug 24 1988), a 'Japanese tycoon' planned to buy the 'miniature railway track and each of its three trains' for 'his Koala Park in Brisbane'. It seems that the same company eventualy transferred the trains, at least to their Rusutsu Resort in Japan (see here).
