Fabricated by John Young & Co (Kelvinhaugh) Ltd in their Scotstoun yard (South Street, Glasgow - now the First Bus Scotstoun depot). The bridge was carried up the Clyde from there by a giant boat crane known as the Mersey Mammoth. (Source: private communication)
